Great location, perfect house for a large multi generational family as we all had our own space and bathroom - while there were a few minor issues, Vino was quick to respond and fix them - hopefully the ariel shot of the way to the beach will be corrected
The location for us was perfect. We wanted a place that was further away from touristy locations, but close to the beach. This place is situated in a small development with a good amount of space between the houses, to provide more privacy than you’d get in a place like Nags Head. The single most useful feature of this house is the elevator. It makes groceries and laundry so much easier. Second is that the kitchen has two dishwashers. This turned out to be a huge time-saver, considering we cooked the majority of our meals. Then the fact that every single bedroom has its own full bath made life so much easier. No waiting for anyone and everyone could go at their own pace. Practical notes for future renters: 1. There is a Keurig and a traditional coffee pot, so bring whatever coffee stuff you want. 2. Closest store is a Dollar store, which has a decent selection in a pinch. For groceries, there’s a Food Lion 15-20 minutes away. If driving in from north (most people will be) I recommend getting groceries in Nags Head and then heading to the house. There’s a fridge on the first floor, so use that to store more groceries, and take less trips to the store. Bring an extra 4-pack of TP, dish washer tablets, laundry detergent. 3. When you check-in, use the first floor entrance and put your groceries and luggage on the elevator. There are TV’s and Roku’s in every room, so that was all the media we needed, aside from our phones. Internet connection was sufficient for everything we needed. The wall to the beach is easy. We came during spring break and pretty much had the beach to ourselves. We had a couple maintenance questions, and Vino was very responsive. All in all, we had a very good experience during our stay.
House is as advertised. The numerous king beds made sleeping arrangements easy and the pool and hot tub were very nice. Main level furniture looked and felt pretty new and the house was provided clean upon arrival. Beach walk was easy with two separate access points (one boardwalk, one sand) and the beach overall was great and not crowded. Vino does a great job communicating and is very on top of any questions or requests that you may have.
The house was amazing. Perfect location. Super quiet, off the beaten path, and an easy walk to the beach or sound. A true gem. Vino, the host, was super responsive and available throughout the stay if we needed anything. He went above and beyond to make a few special accommodations for our party. I’ve stay in places all over the OBX, and I can’t wait to book here again next year! Love it!!
